The fight against corruption is a Note prepared by the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace (which merged into the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, in August 2016) at the conclusion of a meeting held in the Vatican on 2 and 3 June 2006, which was attended by representatives of international bodies, Ambassadors to the Holy See, scholars, intellectuals, professors and experts.
The aim of the Conference was to better understand the phenomenon of corruption, to specify the best methods for combating it and to clarify the contribution that the Church can make to this challenge.
