Guidelines for the study and teaching of the Church's Social Doctrine in the formation of Priests

Guidelines for the study and teaching of the Church's Social Doctrine in the formation of Priests

The Guidelines for the Study and teaching of the  Church' Social Doctrine in the formation of Priests were published by the Congregation for Catholic Education in 1998.

"Since the purpose of the present 'Guidelines' is to indicate the points to be considered indispensable in studying the social doctrine of the Church, the Congregation for Catholic Education wishes to offer teachers of this discipline a program outline in order to help them give a good general basis to the content of their teaching". (from the Appendix, p. 73).

The text is very useful to all those called to teach the discipline of the Social Doctrine of the Church and has been promoted and disseminated by the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace (today, Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development).

The Guidelines are no longer available in paper format, but can be downloaded from this site in PDF format.
