New mission on the Slovak-Ukrainian border for Card. Czerny

The interim Prefect of the DPIHD left Ciampino 16 March, returning on Friday 18 March.

Card. Michael Czerny, SJ, interim Prefect of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, left Wednesday 16 March for Slovakia. After visiting both Byzantine and Latin bishops in eastern Slovakia, he met volunteers and some of the charitable and humanitarian organisations assisting refugees arriving from Ukraine at the border.

Above all, the Cardinal brought the prayers, solidarity and closeness of the Pope and the Christian people to all those in need and to the victims who are fleeing the war.
