Pope Francis invites us to join the Laudato Si Week 2023

Pope Francis invites everyone to join the Laudato Si’ Week 2023, which takes place from May 21-28 with the theme: "Hope for the Earth. Hope for Humanity". During these days, different global and local events will be held to celebrate the 8th anniversary of Pope Francis’ Encyclical Laudato Si’.

Pope's appeal

During the prayer of the Regina Coeli on Sunday, May 21, Pope Francis said, “today, Laudato si’ Week begins. I thank the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development and the many participating organizations. And I invite everyone to collaborate in the care of our common home. There is such a need to put our capabilities and creativity together!”.

Furthermore, the Holy Father announced: “today, booklets on Laudato si’, which the Dicastery has prepared in collaboration with the Stockholm Environment Institute, will be distributed in the Square”.

It is possible to download here the Guide "Our Common Home", which informs, offers and inspires practical advice on the care of creation, in the light of the Encyclical Laudato Si'.
