Pope Francis, through the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, sent a contribution of 100 thousand euros to Caritas Italiana, for first aid in this emergency phase linked to the spread of Coronavirus. The sum, aimed at supporting all those essential services for the poor and the weakest and most vulnerable people of our society, such as soup kitchens, homeless shelters, dormitories, listening centers etc., which the Caritas at diocesan and parochial level ensure daily in Italy, it is also an expression of the feeling of spiritual closeness and paternal encouragement of the Holy Father in this phase of difficulty and emergency.
